Author: Babies need a lot of things from the day they come home from the hospital. If you are expecting a baby and are not sure what all you will need then you can use this list as an easy guide. If you are shopping for someone else then you may want to first ask if there is anything they need or need more of. There are certain items you can never have enough of when you have a baby in the house.
The moment they leave the hospital you will need a car seat. Most hospitals won’t release baby unless you have one of these. A good one to buy is the Graco Car Seat. These are tested for safety and the prices are low enough to afford. Some hospitals may provide a car seat but you should be sure or have an extra. It keeps baby safe and it’s the law.
All new parents underestimate the amount of diapers and clothes they will need when a new baby arrives. The first week alone they will probably go through an entire box of diapers and many changes of clothes. New parents are so enchanted with baby that things like laundry take a back seat the first few weeks.
A baby bath is nice to have as well. This is a baby sized tub that is suited for bathing baby. Remember never to leave baby unattended even in this. After the bath you will of course need lotion, oil, and powder to help make baby smell nice and protect their delicate skin. You may want to have some diaper rash medicine on stand by as well.
Another thing you can never seem to have enough of is blankets. These keep baby warm and that is a must. If baby gets cold a lot then they may become sick and that can be hard on you and your little one. You want to prevent baby from getting chilled as much as you can.
When you take baby out then you will need a stroller. They have double and single strollers available. The Graco Stroller is a nice brand and they tend to be durable. Graco has a lot of nice items available for baby and I have always found them to be a good company with quality products.
These items can make your life much easier when you are taking care of a new baby. Be sure to have plenty of everything you need. The first days at home are important to you both and you want to have the things you needs without going out for more.
