I have the samp problem.......I live in a tiny town is Washington....so i asked all the same questions...and my phone works great, when other non-tri mode verizon phones don't. I live in Texas, way in the sticks, no service. I have a Nokia.. most of the time the old[er] phones work the best. just make sure you tell them what you are looking for in your phone too.. cause mine doesnt have a camera, nor does it have the get it now (ringtones..ect..) i just needed to talk and text in the sticks and they handed me this phone.. works alot better compared to my friend's verizon high-tech (lg chocolate) phone! hope i helped!<br><b>References : </b><br>experience. most of the Verizon employees can answer this for you if you ask them in the store.
