Do newer cell phones get better reception?
I have a T-Mobile phone, and it usually gets decent service in most places. However, I can barely get one bar when I’m in school. My friends with Verizon phones can call and text while I’m struggling to send a text. However, I see some other people with other T-Mobile phones, like the Sidekick, and they get reception absolutely fine. My phone is the samsung t309, which is about 2 years old. It says on cnet that is is a triband phone, GSM 850/1800/1900. The newer phone I’m looking at, the samsung t439, is a quad band phone.
My question is that will the newer phone get somewhat better reception in school, or will it have the same luck since it’s inside a building? Much thanks
just watch out for things like trees or tall buildings close together,they tend to interfere with reception.

You will more than likely have the same luck, but if other phones are working and yours is not, its possible there is an issue with your phone
