I’m studying for my bachelors degree in computer science, and I might continue on to get a masters degree. I have my A+ and Network+ certifications, and I’m planning on getting Linux, Network Security, and the Microsoft certifications.

Can I get a job doing Computer forensics with this? If not, what should I do to increase my chances of getting a computer forensics job?

Thanks
Just a little more info: I do more programming than anything with computers, but I’m pretty good with the non-programming side too.

Familiarize yourself with the rules of evidence for legal proceedings, and with authentication technology. Have any of your professors performed forensics? Talk to him or her, and see if you can accompany her or him to court to watch the presentation.

Your main clients will be attorneys, police departments (and divorcing spouses, ha ha). So it wouldn’t hurt to start developing contacts in those communities.

I need a computer program that will automatically start another program and not let that program close for a work computer. So basically, when the Computer starts up, this program I am looking for will start a work-related program and force it to stay open, so that the only use of that computer would be to use the work program. Thank you!

If your system is windows based I suggest automate, it requires no scripting or programming skills, very intuitive.

I recently did a system restore on my Computer and have yet to reload my antivirus software. Apparently somewhere along the process something called Antivi took over my computer and I can’t do anything, not even get to my task manager to end the program. Any advice?

Step one=Download MBAM!
Step two=Rename the file to something other than MBAM.
Step three=Boot into Safe mode with networking using the F8 key just after the BIOS screen.
Step Four=You may or may not be able to install MBAM in safe mode but try. If it fails do to windows installer service not running then boot back into windows and take step Five.
Step Five=End any services that look suspicious. after that try to install and update MBAM.
If successful then go to step six.
Step six=
Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
In the System Properties dialog box, click the System Restore tab.
Click to select the Turn off System Restore check box. Or, click to select the Turn off System Restore on all drives check box.
Click OK.
When you receive the following message, click Yes to confirm that you want to turn off System Restore:
You have chosen to turn off System Restore. If you continue, all existing restore points will be deleted, and you will not be able to track or undo changes to your computer.

Do you want to turn off System Restore?
Click OK or YES.
Step seven=Boot back into safe mode and do a full scan.

Good lunck!!!!
